General Terms and Conditions – CO₂ compensation
Preliminary note
SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH offers a portal site for sustainable environmental projects. With this, SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH creates a click-based ecosystem for merchants with stationary stores and/or e-commerce online stores. A unique way is offered to merchants to promote a green image, increase conversion and increase customer loyalty.
Part of the comprehensive portfolio of SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH is a Co2 calculator, which allows to calculate the CO2 emissions and to compensate the CO2 emissions via the integrated online store. Thus SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH offers you the option to contribute directly to the reduction and compensation of greenhouse gas emissions.
For this purpose, SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH invests in suitable climate protection projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The CO2 emission reductions have the Gold Standard and an official certification of the Gold Standard Foundation (GSF or Gold Standard).
Offsetting is evidenced by an individual confirmation. This confirmation lists the Gold Standard Registry ID of the project and the link to the project in the Gold Standard Registry. In the case of individual decommissioning, the link to the decommissioning notice in the registry is also provided. Transaction quantities below 1000 tons CO2e are set aside in the registry in the form of a collective set-aside. In collective decommissioning, the quantities from several small transactions / webshop sales are decommissioned together. Example of a collective decommissioning from the Dora II geothermal project, carried out by our partner South Pole. https://registry.goldstandard.org/creditblocks/details/168551
For business relations of any kind between SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH and the customer, the following terms and conditions apply in their current version. Customers can be entrepreneurs as well as consumers. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed (§ 13 BGB). An entrepreneur is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity who, when concluding a legal transaction, acts in the exercise of his or her commercial or self-employed professional activity (Section 14 BGB).
Depending on the amount of your climate protection contribution in the form of a payment for the CO2 emissions to be offset, shown in KG, you contribute to a certain emission saving in a project listed on our homepage.
The CO2 calculator of the SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH calculates the caused Co2 emissions via the data of driven KM and consumption. The CO2 emission calculator calculates with generally valid standard consumption, consumption data and average values, so that the CO2 emissions can be calculated. Under certain circumstances, the exact amount of these can deviate considerably from the CO2 emissions actually caused and their effect on the climate.
The purchaser of CO2 emission offsets has no claim whatsoever to the personal receipt of emission reduction credits of value or to the purchase or certain other use of specific emission reduction certificates by SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH. This is not acquired by paying a CO2 emission compensation in the store in any way.
The list prices at the time of the order, as shown on the Internet pages in the store of SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH, apply. The prices are inclusive of statutory value added tax. Unless otherwise agreed, SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH shall bear the costs of postage and shipping. Should any of these provisions – for whatever reason – not apply, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
The presentation of the products in the online store does not constitute a legally binding offer. By clicking the button “order now” the customer places a binding order. A confirmation of receipt of the order and the dispatch of the invoice follows immediately after sending the order. The purchase contract is thereby concluded. The contract text is stored the order data and the terms and conditions are sent to the customer by e-mail.
Warranty and liability for defects: The warranty of SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH is governed by the statutory provisions. SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH is liable for gross negligence and intent of its agents and bodies. Liability for negligence is excluded. Force majeure: In the event that SAVE-THE-NATURE GmbH cannot provide the service due to force majeure (in particular war, natural disasters, pandemics), it is exempt from its obligations for the duration of the hindrance.
